CNNIC Successfully Held 2016 Chinese Domain Name Consortium Annual Meeting
2016 Chinese Domain Name
Consortium annual meeting was held in Haikou city, Hainan province from 15
March to 19 March,2016. This meeting was hosted by China Internet Network
Information Center (CNNIC), delegates from CDNC member units including Taiwan Network Information Centre (TWNIC), HongKong Internet
Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC), Macao Network Information Centre(MONIC),
KNET and ZDNS, and representatives from Chinese Community including DotASIA,
CONAC and Brandma attended this meeting.
During
the meeting, participants have introduced their latest progress of Chinese
domain names business respectively, and carried out in-depth discussions around
CDNC word table updates, DNS (domain name system) and DNSSEC deployment
technology (domain name security extension), Internationalized Domain Names (IDN)
and Email address internationalization etc. related issues. According to the
meeting, delegates have agreed on the working plan which intended to further
promote CDNC word table updates, IDN and EAI applications.
